Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?
Do
to others as you would have them do to you.
There is
no point in doing well that which you should not be doing at all.
Now it
is our preference that decides against Christianity, not arguments.
Beware
of the barrenness of a busy life.
No one is too busy to do what they consider to be
important.
Two things I ask of you, O Lord; do not refuse me before I die; Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise,
I may have too much and disown you and say "Who is the Lord?" Or
I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of God.
I am
so busy now that if I did not spend two or three hours each day in prayer, I
would not get through the day. |
